Habits and Practices (H&P) Research
Habits & Practice (H&P) research is designed to
capture user needs and to identify areas that are
highly important to users but are not currently
being satisfied. The task oriented approach provided
by H&P research enables product managers and
planners to identify the unmet needs of the existing
customer base and, as a result, provide a clear
indication of the functionality that should be added
to future versions of the product based upon the
job/tasks with the highest Opportunity Index score
and the greatest market reach. In addition to the
various job/task statements a series of demographic
and classification questions are also included to
enable additional analysis and segmentation.
The Opportunity Index score identifies key areas of
unmet needs -- user needs which are important and
not currently satisfied, by focusing an
organization's development efforts on those areas
that provide more value for users and differentiates
your products in meaningful ways from those of your
competitors.
